I am fairly new to game development. I started early in 2020 and have completely fallen in love with it. Since I don't have much prior experience with anything other than coding and music, every other aspect has been a huge challenge. I cannot draw for my life, I am not very good at coming up with unique or cool ideas, and I didn't know my way around any game engines. I started out hard coding in Java, but quickly realized it wasn't the best option for me, so I decided to learn C# and head on over to Unity. I have been using Unity exclusively since, and am starting to understand a lot of the key components in making games. I have just been working on small simple projects and game jams in order to get a lot of simplistic practice in before I try anything on a larger scale. Itch.io has been a great platform for me to enter this world of making games and has really helped me to grow and develop as a developer.
